A Song Michelle Obama Needs to be Introduced To - Video

As you know, Michelle Obama said about her husband's run for President, that the reception he is receiving is "the first time in my entire adult life I have been proud of my country."

Well, Michelle, most of the folks in the country you desire your husband to lead, and the country you want to represent as First Lady, don't feel the way you do. You just may be about to find out that most Americans are very proud of their country - all day, every day! Here is a song, the lyrics of which you ought to really listen to, because it gives you a lot of reasons to be proud of your country:

be careful

I would be careful about just how bloodthirsty everyone tries to milk this story. She made a gaffe. It happens and she isn't the first and certainly won't be the last, but making more out of this than it is, only makes our side look desperate. There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of Obama, and one that everyone should be making now is his vote against warrantless wiretapping, however if our side makes more of this than it needs to we will look as though we have no legitimate criticism to make of Obama.

Michelle O's comment was not made in error

I think it's true some caution should be used when responding to Michelle O's comments as to not appear desperate or petty, but her comment was no mistake or taken out of context as thier allies like to say. Anyone who's been around a while knows what she meant - let's just say the victimhood has begun. The other part of this people aren't recognizing is the fact she has obviously voiced this to B.O. as well and I would be willing to bet he's not totally in disagreement with it. That said, all the more reason to get Sen McCain elected.

mike, Welcome, and thanks

mike,
Welcome, and thanks for commenting! You are right, of course, that we have to be careful of drumming too much on this. But when I read her comments my mind went immediately to that song and the fact that most of us are proud just to be Americans, proud of our flag, proud of the countless ways America has been a beacon for freedom and justice throughout the world.

I do believe her statement was more than a gaffe - although it was a real gaffe! It revealed a worldview she holds, and one that is held by most liberals that does not see much, if anything, to be proud of about America. That's why Obama keeps saying he wants to "remake" America. He does not like America the way she is. He wants to make America in his own image.

We must focus in the months to come on drawing the lines between this, "America is the problem" worldview, and the radical leftist policies and positions Obama takes.

Michelle Obama

"I don't want to go on a LYNCHING party against Michelle Obama unless there's evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels." - Bill O'Reilly

Is the use of the word lynching a gaffe or is it an insight into Bill O'Reilly's real worldview and conservatives like him?
