Obamamania Reaches New Heights of Mindless Drivel - Video

Obamamania reaches new heights (or depths) of mindless drivel in this new video out on YouTube. You have to see it, and hear it, to believe it. Yet, it is totally representative of the Obama candidacy - all based on feelings, emotions, and - thin air. You would not normally expect us at Blogs for John McCain to post an Obama video. But this video so clearly reveals the emptiness of his campaign, that I just cannot resist. By November, I do believe this stuff is going to be wearing really thin on the average skeptical American voter.

Chanting for Obama

Not only is this drivel, it's New Age chanting for Obama. These videos, combined with the mindless speeches and thoughtless writings, can only lead one to conclude that this movement appears to be a cult.

Check out Michelle Obama's speech at UCLA, which, as one writer states, sounds like a Scientology presentation.

God help us all.

Not my cup of tea--but I wish McCain could inspire people

like that. Inspiration is a big part of leadership.

Thanks

Thanks for posting this. Here's another one

Frightening

What truly frightens me is the gullibility of America. Here we have a candidate who in all reality represents no actual ideas, and yet everyone has become fixated on him. Rhetoric is dangerous, as even when it is based off falsehoods and lacks any substance, many still become entranced by it. I am reminded of a time 75 years ago when one man did the same, he promised his people "Hope", and "Change". Of course, the "Hope" was in himself, and the "Change" was what HE wanted. What it did however was lead to the deaths of Millions, and drew the World into a War the likes of which mankind had never seen before. Now-a-days you will be hard pressed to find any of his followers who would not have changed their minds if presented with the current hindsight, however it took 12 years, and 72 Million Deaths later before they realized their great blunder.

These two individuals might not be the same, and separated by generations, but the danger of empty rhetoric remains the same.

If you want to learn about a candidate, you look into their past, their records, and their true values. Simply listening to speeches and falling for words is the single greatest mistake any American can make.

I do not consider myself a Republican, nor a Democrat, but rather an American. As such, I want what is best not simply for myself, but for my country. With a mindset such as what I have, I am not fazed by glittery speeches and glamorous promises. I suggest all Americans take this selfless approach, as this Nation is larger than any single individual. We all have problems and issues, but without a Strong Country left standing tall, how will we ever have the ability to address our problems?

I see McCain as the strongest candidate for what really matters, and that is both in keeping our commitment to our allies, and in keeping our borders secure. We must not pull the plug on Iraq, as in doing so we might please a few anti-Iraq Americans, but in the process will cause the deaths of countless allied Iraqis. Have they sacrificed any less than we have? Have they not lost children, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters the same as we have? Are their lives not more directly affected than ours? Yet, they fight alongside us with little complaint, while those of us tucked safely in our beds back home in America, do nothing but gripe about a War that has barely touched us. We have not had to give up consumer products, luxuries, nor entertainment. We have not had a halt in our food supplies, medical care, or jobs. Yet we still complain. We complain, and yet what have we done to support the cause?

The greater cause is National Security, and World Security. As long as we keep a force in Iraq we will for the very first time in History have personal interactions with those we so fear. For every interaction between Arab and American we will forever help to eradicate the mindset behind terrorism. We will no longer be that immoral, infidel society half-a-World away. By building the schools we are currently constructing we will bring the single greatest weapon against extremism, a well rounded education.

If we pull out we will be seen as a Nation much the same as Obama's rhetoric, full of Promises, with no substance. A Nation that promised "Hope", and "Change" to the Iraqi people, but delivered neither. If we do in fact pull out of Iraq, we will never again have another ally, and will most certainly not have any who wish to ever cooperate with us again. What do you think lead to 9-11? It was in fact the pulling out of American Operatives in Afghanistan. More than once American Covert Ops were hot on the tail of Bin Laden, and fighting alongside Northern Alliance Allies long before 2001 (1990's). However, time and time again they were pulled out, and we withdrew our support to those we promised it to. In doing so we gave nothing but disappointment and doubt in our commitment to the cause of capturing the most wanted terrorist in Modern History. I believe our ally, the now late Northern Alliance Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud said it best when he stated: "Are there no REAL Men left in your country"?

Great Writing, TPL!

TPL,
Welcome to BFJM! Your "comment" is a great piece of writing! I hope you will try your hand at posting here, and do so often! We must do all we can to help Sen. McCain win in November. The stakes are just too high.

Inspirational?

Obama's words and videos are only inspirational for people who cannot think for themselves and want simple solutions. The world is too complicated for this type of leadership.

We are all his ideological opponents

and that is why all of this seems like it is trivial and simplistic, however his message resonates. Hope, unity and an end to partisanship are all powerful themes. If you want to attack Obama don't do it on his message. Attack him on specifics of the issues he stands for. He is to the left of Planned Parenthood on abortion for instance. He is a standard tax and spend liberal. The way to beat Obama isn't to hyperanalyze his message like you are doing here, but to define him based on the issues. Here is how I would do it...

Not with all

mike,
We are showing Obama to be the wacko, far-left liberal that he is, in post after post. We will continue to do so. But I still believe that as for his message resonating, it is with a segment of the population, but not with all. It's a long way to November, and the kind of drivel in this video will wear thin with many independents and more moderate Democrats by November.

Thank you this video!

As a future voter in the general election, Obama's campaign, while superficially appealing to my emotions, has left me feeling very uneasy. Now I know why. The young lady who sermonized about Obama becoming the next President of the US, of all Americans, forgot to mention that he will be primarily the president of all left wing liberal whacko Americans - like the ones in this video. I did not see myself as an American in this video, only elitist Hollywood, liberal types. John McCain will be my president and he will represent the entire American people. My vote will surely go to Sen. McCain who is clearly the most qualified candidate for the presidency. Next to McCain, Obama looks like the political child that he is.

judgement

There need to be more challenges to Obama's claim to have superior judgement. His self-confidence/arrogance/smugness is overdone. A left-winger taking an anti-war stance is not a sign of huge depths of wisdom. Yet his claim to have "judgement" seems to be largely unchallenged at this point.

Very good point, kcc

kcc,
Excellent point! He must and will be challenged in the days ahead on his supposed "superior judgment." Great to have you here! Hope you post and comment often!
