Michael Johns: "In Georgia, America's Defining Moment"

Conservative writer and Republican strategist Michael Johns, a former White House speechwriter and Heritage Foundation foreign policy analyst, said today that Russia's ongoing military aggression against Georgia potentially represents a major threat to the global peace that has largely characterized the last 17 years of post-Cold War era relations between Washington and Moscow. Decisive American diplomatic, humanitarian and potentially military responses are warranted, he says, to ensure the defense of Georgia's territorial integrity and its promising and successful democratically-elected government, led by President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Most concerning in Russia's recent aggression, Johns says, is that it appears to represent a return to the expansionist and militarily aggressive tactics that characterized Moscow's foreign policy during the Cold War, and that Russia likely views its current aggression in Georgia as a test case for whether such regional aggression will be resisted or tolerated by the United States and its allies. As with Georgia, which has proven an ally of the United States and western democracies in recent years, Moscow has developed a cantankerous relationship with Ukraine, another democratic ally of the United States that borders Russia. This past spring, for instance, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin threatened to "dismember" the Ukranian peninsula of Crimea.

A Soldier's Experience With Obama in Afghanistan

Below is a very disturbing message from a U.S. soldier serving in Afghanistan as he describes Obama’s visit there. Not only did Obama egregiously snub our wounded fighting for our nation, but this soldier tells it like it really was when Obama stepped off the plane in Afghanistan.

These brave men and women are putting their lives on the line every minute of the day for months, sometimes years to fight the greatest threat to our nation in modern history - Fundamental Extremist Islamic terrorists who wish to destroy our nation.

For a presumptive nominee for CIC with an already questionable twenty (20) year close association of an anti-American ”hate” church to look down on these soldiers and not offer them even a thank you is dishonorable to them, and to our beloved nation. This is unforgivable.

John McCain suffered almost six (6) torturous years as a POW during the Vietnam War as he fought for our nation. Can one possibly imagine the kick in the gut Obama gave these brave military as he paraded past them - The kick in the gut he gives to all who have served fighting and dying for our freedom and our great nation, including John S. McCain.

Again, to the “media” coverage of Obama: It is not simply the excessiveness of it, but the truly blatant falseness of it which strikes at the heart of the media’s integrity. WHY?

Hello Everyone,

..I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that came to Bagram, Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet-proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As the soldiers where lined up to shake his hand, he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big-top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could have publicity pictures taken of him playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to soldiers to thank them for their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here, you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA pla yers or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-in-Chief. It was almost like he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

"HYPE: The Obama Effect," is a full length documentary by Citizens United which will open in select theaters September 1, 2008. New York Post reporter, David DeSario examines the take on HYPE in his own video, "Right Takes Aim at Obama."

David had emailed me with a copy of my blog entry, "Obama's Trip Around the World - Short and Simple," and we spoke by phone as we discussed the excessive coverage of John McCain's opponent. During our conversation Mr. DeSario asked me a unique and mind numbing question, "What do you think would happen if we elected an Anti-American as president?" My response before I dropped the phone was immediate, "Don't you think the media should be asking Obama this question?" Isn't this question, because of Obama's twenty (20) year close association with an anti-American "hate" church and extremely close ties to its leaders (ministers if you will,) what the media's main focus SHOULD be?

David then took the conversation to the plight of African Americans as well as other minorities, and that possibly Obama could help in their desperate needs such as reforms in education. My response was that I'm of the strong belief that those in the lowest levels of poverty, including poor whites who are trapped within these institutional walls which stand as a road block to the American dream, should be free by crushing these walls.

BUT, the real question is "who" should be our leader, not only for extreme and dire social issues, but economic as well as extremely dangerous and tumultuous foreign affairs. My feelings remain. A man who chose to not only allow himself, but also his wife and children to ingest hate filled anti-American rhetoric in a church for the past twenty (20) years, only to break ties for political aspirations is not an answer to our critical national and international issues. Hate begets hate! Hate only destroys ones soul, it will destroy the soul of a nation - Our nation. And THIS is what the media's focus should be for the sake of our beloved America.

This whole issue of HYPE from my vantage point goes beyond fairness in political media coverage between two (2) presidential contenders. This issue of the media's bias and refusal to address what Obama will bring to the presidential table with his "hate" background is more at stake, and the responsibility of what I always believed was the media's job to ethically, honorably, and credibly examine. If you wish to remain an ethical, honorable, and credible media as you cover Obama, start by speaking with the grieving survivors of 9/11, and countless military lives lost in our fight against Islamic Extremist terrorism. Go ahead! Ask them! Ask them how they feel when they hear Rev. Wright, Obama's spiritual adviser, say GD America, and take pleasure in the three thousand (3,000) lives lost on 9/11. I ask you the media who feeds our populous, why are you not talking to these people in all of your hype??

I always demanded "acrediblepresident." I now demand "acrediblemedia!"

Two (2) reasons John McCain's opponent has decided to take a trip around the world:

1. Free media coverage

2. A crash course in foreign affairs

- The free media to its disgrace IS working.

- With regards to John McCain's opponent's understanding and experience of foreign affairs, it remains where it has always been - NONE.

Many are in denial of the dire and critical threats upon our nation in one of the most dangerous era's since its beginnings. John McCain understands this. John McCain understood how important it was to change strategies in Iraq stressing the surge which has worked.

The people of our nation must understand these threats and face them, not be in denial and follow someone as a leader who is also in denial. Our nation's people MUST understand how dangerous the proliferation of nuclear, bio, and chemical weapons are when they fall in the wrong hands of nations who wish to destroy the United States of America.

John McCain has always said that he would put the safety of our beloved nation as a priority even if it costs him this election. Translation: John McCain loves this nation more then himself.

To the media: Please stop this circus of coverage of a candidate simply because of his race or ethnicity. Whether someone is black, white, green, or pink, if he/she is capable and able to be a strong leader is what this is all about. But for the liberal media to shove lies and propaganda down the throats of Americans is nothing but wrong. You the media in the end will have to explain the responsibilities of your actions if a man is elected president who attended an Anti-American institution (church if you will) with extremely close associations to its leaders and members; and this is unforgivable.

You can not erase this twenty (20) year association of Anti-America rhetoric, and then wipe the slate clean simply because this gentlemen broke ties for political reasons. The people of our nation already have little trust in our political system. To continue the excessive coverage and support of an individual with close ties to Anti-American beliefs will only allow Americans to trust the media even less.

Your actions go beyond party lines, your actions question your honor and love of our beloved nation.

On June 8, 2008 I received a phone call telling me I was going to die. They also told me to watch what happens to people who disagree with Obama. A little bit later my son came in telling me that someone set the tree on fire. I am fed up with death threats. I do not appreciate Obama telling McCain that we are his voters. No we were Hillary voters and now we are free to choose who we want as president. I know that McCain did not set my tree on fire and neither did his supporters.
I am not afraid of you so stop making the threats. Come see me if you are so tough. I am not afraid.

US Federal Human Life Amendment

I have started a petition for a United States Federal Human Life Amendment. I need to get this petition out to as many people as possible and it will take support from many, many citizens, organizations and companies to get the word out. My Story:

I want to take a few minutes to tell you my story from both sides of the abortion issue. I am not proud of many of my decision in my life prior to becoming a Christian, but I want to take accountability for them and help other women not to make the same mistakes that I have made. When I was 18 years old, I spent one night with my boyfriend (we had even used a condom). When I realized I had missed my period, I took a pregnancy test, which came out positive. I didn't know what to do. I was scared, especially of my mother's reaction. So I called the adult in my life that I most respected and trusted, Fran, my cousins wife. She immediately said that I needed to get an abortion. She told me that she would inform my mother that I would come to her house in a couple of days "to babysit" her newborn (as I had done several times before) for the day. In actuality, I she would take me to the nearest clinic to abort the child. I had always done as I was told because to do otherwise meant a beating, so I did as I always had done, even though I had vowed I would never have an abortion if I got pregnant. Everything went so quickly. Two days later, Fran and I went to the clinic. It was over in a few hours. I remember going into a room to be "counseled" before the procedure. The only thing done in that room was a blood test, followed by explanation that the procedure would take 2 hours to complete and from which to recover. No one told me of the emotional expectations nor that an abortion was extremely painful to the child "fetus". No mention of the fetus was mentioned at all, nor what took place during the procedure. I was told that I would be put under anesthesia, then when I awoke, I would wait until I had a bowel movement and urine excretion to ensure my organs were properly working before I could leave.

When I started to awaken from the operation before I was even aware I was awake, I began crying. As I became cognisant I was surprised by my emotional response, so I asked the doctor why I couldn't stop crying, especially because I was a person that very seldom cried for any reason. He responded that 95% or more of the women and girls came out from an abortion in that manner. I then asked him if it was a chemical reaction to the anesthesia. He replied that it was not a physical response because the same anesthesia was used in many operations and that people do not have the same response when rejuvenating from other operations. He said this was a unique response to abortion. I was not a religious person and I had not been brought up going to church, or even discussing religion. So, I knew right then and there on the recovery bed, that what I had done was wrong because my response had not been conscious - it had been sub-conscious in nature. Additionally, the fact that so many other women had had that same response further made my realization concrete.

Guilt chased me for many years after that, until the day that I was baptized and realized I had finally been forgiven and was able to forgive myself. Two years later, I was studying at the Defense Language Institute (DLI) to become and Army Arabic Linguist when my father suddenly died from a heart attack/stroke/seizure combination. I went through a great mourning period of which I didn't have the maturity nor the moral foundation on which to properly handle the situation. Dad died in March of 1988. For 3 months, I suffered internally without having the opportunity to discuss my sorrow with anyone. When the pain became more than I could bear, and although I had not been sexually active in a long time, I sought comfort, at this time, through sex. I spent the night with a man that I had been dating since I first arrived at DLI and with whom I had hopes of deepening our relationship. When he agreed to spend the night with me, I took it as a sign that he wanted to move to the next level of commitment. I got pregnant that night. We did not spend another night together, so I knew the exact night I had gotten pregnant that July. Chuck was always with a group of people, so I got up early one morning (before physical training, we called it PT) to catch him while he was in his room alone getting dressed to give him the news. The first words that came out of his mouth was "get an abortion". I was shocked at first, then became angry. I knew this time without a doubt that I would never do that again, so I told him so. Then it was his turn to become angry. He told me that he had a military career ahead of him and that this would keep him from progressing as he wanted. I told him I would have that baby without him then.

I t is with certainty and clarity that I tell you today that I have NEVER regretted keeping that child. I have spoken and read many stories since that day about women that have had abortions and those that have chosen to keep their children for various reasons. I have not come across a single woman who has NOT regretted, been ashamed of and has suffered from her choice to have an abortion AND I have NEVER come across a woman who HAS regretted keeping her child. Quite the contrary, I have only found who women who have chosen to keep their child has only been blessed and uplifted by the choice not to murder one of God's creations.

I would like to blame my fear of my mother (because I was deathly afraid of her), my lack of knowledge of Christ, my immaturity and youth on my wretched decision to murder my child, but I must take accountability of the fact that despite all of that, I knew deep down in my heart that it was wrong and I can not place blame on any set of situations for my action. I and I alone made that choice. I could have chosen to take responsibility for my actions and I could have been blessed, but instead I took the coward's way out. However, I must say, that had I been more informed, had a relationship with Christ, had a stronger core foundation in my life, and if the abortion had been illegal, I am sure that I would have made the right choice.

That is why I am sharing my story with all of you today. I am hoping that by sharing my disgrace, I can rally you and others to take a stand for "the right" and maybe I can help other young women be more informed of the consequences and less equipped to make self-damaging choices (through the legal system's misguided laws) by changing the laws of the land through a Federal Constitutional Amendment which will protect all of God's innocent persons.

Today I am a happily married woman (of 17 years) to Jaime De La Cruz with 2 children. Breylin, (who I did not abort), who is a blessing to me, is attending the University of Arizona as a Sophomore, and Emilio who is about to be a junior in high school.

FYI: Norma McCorvey was the plaintiff in Roe vs. Wade. She did not go looking for an attorney to fight to have an abortion. At the time, she was speaking with an adoption attorney and he gave her name to 2 attorneys that he knew wanted to fight the anti-abortion statutes in Texas, at the time. They went to her and asked her to be their client. She agreed to be their client, but she did not want her name made public so her attorneys used a pseudonym. She didn't even attend any of the court proceedings because she didn't want to actively participate. Additionally, even though she won the case, she never had an abortion, even though she did give 2 of her children up for adoption. Today, she is a 100% pro-life activist fighting abortion on all levels after have worked in an abortion clinic for years.

I work with kids and adults with Autism and this issue is very important to me. I am glad to see one of the candiates addressing this very important subject.

Combating Autism in America.
John McCain is very concerned about the rising incidence of autism among America's children and has continually supported research into its causes and treatment. He has heard countless stories about families' hardships obtaining a diagnosis for their children's autism and accessing quality medical treatment. He believes that federal research efforts should support broad approaches to understanding the factors that may play a role in the incidence of autism, including factors in our environment, for both prevention and treatment purposes.

John McCain was proud to lend his support to the Combating Autism Act of 2006, which he cosponsored, and worked to ensure its enactment. This law is helping to increase public awareness and screening of autism spectrum disorder, promote the use of evidence-based interventions, and create autism Centers of Excellence for Autism Spectrum Disorder Research and Epidemiology. John McCain understands that despite the federal and scientific research efforts to date, the exact causes of autism are not yet known and greater research is needed to understand this disorder. Yesterday on Fox TV, I saw a crawl at the bottom of the screen that made me furious.

BHO said that he will be visting the Red States to try to get the Black Southern vote.

Notice that he said 'Black'

Nothing was said by the press, media, etc. I don't even think Fox said it was racist.

McCain should come out and say that I am going to the Blue States to try to get the White Southern vote.

Yeh! Right!
The press would crucify him.

But then again, he could show that he only did what BHO did.

McCain could say that BHO wants the Black vote and I want the White vote.

It is okay for BHO to say he wants the Black vote, but McCain as a white cannot say he wants the White vote?

Someone should be bringing this out to the people, this is racist.

It would only be racist if McCain did it.

BHO can say whatever he wants.

Senator McCain has to get with it. He has to make a comical, funny, entertaining campaign ad. One that will stick in the voters minds. Something they won't forget. Something that will make them forget BHO.
The ones he is making now are old, dreary, and boring.
If he is going to win, he has to change his old fashioned ways.
He has to realize that they are making BHO look good in his designer clothes, sunglasses. This in turn makes McCain look older.

He cannot wait too long. He has to begin now!

Mark Simone on ABC Radio this morning gave the Republicans a great idea.

Why not get several Muslim women in scarfs to sit behind BHO whenever he speaks.

BHO said that it was wrong for his staff to remove the Muslim women at his speaking engagement and he personally appoligized to them.

Now if more sit behind him, his staff cannot remove them, because BHO said it was wrong.

Presidential Seal - UPDATED With Video of Obama Substituting His Own Name on the Seal

Will the Obama people stop at nothing? Don't they have any deciency?

When I was watching Fox TV at 6:05 pm and BHO was having the meeting with the Governors, I noticed the seal in front of him. I told my husband, "That looks like the Presidential Seal". Sure enough the Fox reporters discussed it and showed how it looked the same, but with BHO's name on it.

He thinks he is the President of the United States already.

Someone has to put a stop to this seal that he uses. He has no respect for the President of the United States nor the people of the United States. It makes him look like he is the President.

I hope someone can put up the video, so everyone can see this seal and post their complaints.
