Sen. John McCain has opened up a 10-point lead over Barack Obama in the ultimate bellweather state of Missouri. McCain now leads Obama 50%-40% in a new Public Policy Polling (D) survey out today. In the same poll last month, McCain led by only three points at 47%-44%.

McCain's lead in Missouri is significant. Missouri has voted for the winner in every Presidential Election since 1956, and has only failed to vote for the winner that one time since 1900.
