McCain on Offense: Running Strong in Blue States; Only Down Three-Points in New Jersey
A trend is beginning to develop: John McCain is now polling strong in some very blue states -- states that should be a slam dunk for Barack Obama. The latest: New Jersey. A new Marist poll there has Barack Obama leading John McCain by only three-points, 48%-45%.
Other examples:
49% Obama
47% McCain
45% McCain
44% Obama
48% Obama
45% McCain
At the very least, this will mean Obama is going to have to spend time and money to defend these states and others that may develop. He can't afford to lose even one of them to John McCain and have a real chance to win.

Turning NJ from blue to red
As a NJ native, this just puts a big smile on my face. Growing up there my family & friends were all republicans ( granted this was in the 1970's-1980's). There is a strong working class there & McCain looks like he is tapping into it.
New Jersey in play...
If McCain were to win in New Jersey, it would mean a landslide win for the McCain-Palin Ticket.
Before NJ goes red, all the other swing states like MI, Ohio, and PA will have been won by McCain.
Living in New Jersey, there is a tremendous amount of Bush hatred for McCain to overcome.
It would be nice, but if Obama cannot win New Jersey he will be just another Mike Dukakis!
