The ad needs to play that video of Obama saying $4.00 gas was about the right price---then it needs to fade to Obama telling us we could solve the crisis by inflating our tires. Then list what McCain proposes: Wind, Solar, Drilling, Nuclear, Coal, Natural Gas......

There could also be an ad where an average American explains to Mr. Obama that he/she can't afford a cross-over vehicle and a farmer explaining that there are no cross-over harvesters or tractors and a truck driver asking if there's a new electric engine for his 18 wheeler...We can't wait for the future, Mr. Obama. We need to get to work now....I'll inflate my tires, but I still need gas, Mr. Obama....

WHO is doing McCain's commercials?

Received this e-mail this morning...and I suspect there are a LOT more stories out there. Obama is wowing the German crowds, but you DO remember that this is the Germany that thinks Bush is Hitler and which made it dangerous for our servicemen and their families to leave their bases and their homes? This is the Germany which has one of the largest corporate contributors to Iran and who gets most of their natural gas from Russia, which is Iran's and Chavez's biggest supporters? Someone needs to revive the coverage of Germany's American hating activities.

I'm suspecting that this will not be the only first-hand witness report coming out of the war zone, and someone had best do something about Obama not visiting our troops who are in Germany because of battle-wounds. His Royal Presumptiousness couldn't possibly "use" our wounded warriors as a campaign "prop" because....and we'd better get out there and connect these dots very clearly...he couldn't possible make a visit without his mini state department and his cast of thousands in the news media. He'd rather party hardy in Berlin.

Anyway, the e-mail which needs to go viral:

From one of our soldiers who was there!

Hello everyone,

As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to "The War Zone". I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

In service,
CPT Jeffrey S. Porter

American Soldier

Just think. A President with total access to this country's deepest national security secrets couldn't get a job which required a secret, let alone a top secret clearance. He also couldn't get a job in a nuclear power plant. He couldn't even get a job as a NYC cop.

Associations DO matter.

If there's one thing I'm PDS of, it's Obama's Marxist leanings. The evidence is crystal clear, and this quote pretty much sums up his world view: "In America," Obama says, "we have this strong bias toward individual action. You know, we idolize the John Wayne hero who comes in to correct things with both guns blazing. But individual actions, individual dreams, are not sufficient. We must unite in collective action, build collective institutions and organizations." So, all you "individual" dreamers, give it up. You must have a group dream and to get there, you must group think.

And can anyone list anything at all that would give us an insight into Obama's sense of humor? We all know he's probably the most thin-skinned politician in America. Everything from his ears to his wife to his policies are off limits. But whats really disturbing is that I've never heard any witty repartee between him and anyone else. I don't think eating his waffle qualifies. I also don't think telling Americans that they embarrass him because they don't speak French is amusing--although his fans thought it was a stitch. Maybe THAT's why I'm pretty confident he's about the most self-centered twit who ever ran for any office. He may be tacking toward center at the speed of light, but he's already arrived at ego-centric. No personality, no sense of humor, no wit, no resume, no honor, no logic, no perspective, no knowledge of history, no respect for the common man or woman (who, BTW, are the UNcommon back bone of this country), no clue. NObama pretty much sums up this empty suit. The only question left is: Is he an empty vessel or is he full of it?

This story is on Fox's web site right now: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,382452,00.html (Headline: Anti-Obama Bloggers Question Why Google Froze Their Accounts)

There was also an article some time ago at this REALLY informative site, Obama WTF (What's the Facts) which discussed the Obama Internet Blitzkreig and which discusses something I had been noticing. See the article here: http://obamawtf.blogspot.com/2008/06/obamas-e-drones-pollute-internet-wi...

The simple truth is that the Obama cult has taken over any and all forums that allow open discussion. There are posters at these sites who appear to be able to post at the speed of light--and they never discuss anything. They overhwhelm any possible discussion within minutes of the original article being posted with dozens of generic anti-McCain, anti-Hillary, anti-Republican slogans and slurs. By the time a serious poster gets his/her two cents in, the string has been sunk by the most viscerally mean and outrageous bits of venemous lies imaginable.

For example, I used to try to participate at Politico, but not any more. Their discussions are like trying to "participate" at DailyKos and Huffington Post. The bullies swarm like an army of red ants. There's no thought, no civility, no line that won't be crossed. The Obama people conduct themselves like net terrorists. The Keith Olberman army whose mission is to shut down any and all opposition. Like the major news networks, it is nothing more than a defacto abrogation of the First Amendment. It's "1984" with plausable deniability but it's there; it's real; and it's goal is to literally shut down debate and discussion.

I think we all agree that oil is a national security commodity, and right now, we're being jerked around by our enemies and our back-stabbing "friends" and the same sort of greedy monsters who gave us Enron. I think we're headed fast toward drilling on the Continental Shelf and in prohibited shell and maybe Alaska's wildlife preserve. But WHO is going to explore and drill for the stuff, deliver it and refine it? Why not open up exploration to wildcatters and their reward for finding oil would be a percentage of all or part of the oil extracted from their find. The US Oil Company would do the drilling and transport the oil on US-owned ships (no foreign flag ships) to US refineries. How do we sell it to the markets--which, BTW, will be absolutely restricted to the US domestic market? We sell it via the kinds of bids private industry puts in for any government contract: we sell it to the LOWEST bidder after we set a minimum bid based on expenses and reasonable profits to the federal contractors doing the extracting.

And we allow the building of new refineries and not necessarily to the BIG six. And as soon as the law is in place to begin exploration, we can prime the pump with oil from the national reserve.

If we want to affect the market, we can dictate that priorities for the cheaper fuel go to diesel (truckers--because they ARE essential and are driving the price of inflation), to cross-over vehicles and to vehicles that get say over 30 mpg...

A perfect answer? No, but it's patently obvious that we need to have some leverage with this essential commodity, and oil is a bit like uranium, which we don't allow to be sold on world markets and if we can pay millionaire farmers not to farm, then we can certainly justify paying wildcatters to find oil which WE control....no $55 million a year CEO's or speculators necessary.

I do believe he's just lobbed a shot across the bow of the Evangelical Movement.

Maybe he'll be the candidate to unite us afterall (very, very evil grin).

Yesterday I posted an extensive rant about the negative slant Bill O'Reilly is giving McCain items, including his unbalanced list of guests to discuss important things like energy. Last night (15 June), Obama was again presented in glowing terms while a private pro-McCain ad was pilloried by O'Reilly and his "expert" guest. The thing that really fried my wires though was O'Reilly's "Talking Points". In it he asserted that Obama kept himself above the fray on playing the race card!? WTF! (apologies to those of you who knows what that means and might be offended, but sometimes, just sometimes, that four-letter Anglo-Saxon word is the most expressive in the English language--which is why I use it rarely, so as to keep it powerful--grin)

His whole campaign is premised on race. Otherwise, why would he proclaim himself the "post-racial" candidate? Honey, when you put that 200-pound gorilla in the title of your book, you've just proclaimed it the leading character. If he'd proclaimed himself the "post-religion" candidate, do you think religion would be pushed to the forefront of the discussion? Well, duh! Can you imagine Colin Powell subscribing to that kind of cheap, divisive slogan? Me neither. He's a man of talent, accomplishment and I suspect he's like me and everyone else who thinks race is an inane thing to even think about while we're at war and our economy is being plummeted from all sides. Obama, himself, made it an issue right from the get-go.

And then when Barack threw his old white granny under the bus (I believe holding the woman who raised you up to public condemnation for remarks made over 30 years ago in private is PD low), he pretty much let us know where he stood. Then he really piled it on when he explained the tire marks on grandma when he insulted ME (wonder how he'd like it if I called him "a typical black man").

Oh, and I'd say his belonging to a church that pretty much thrives on racial divide and class warfare tells us most of what we need to know about Obama's views. I mean, would YOU join a church without knowing its theology and specific beliefs? He joined Reverend Wright's church as an adult and either Obama knew what he was joining or he was the only person in Chicago who didn't know where Wright stood in the matter of racial politics.

Finally, apparently Mr. O'Reilly thinks Obama's statement that all Republicans are race baiters and haters is staying above the fray. Accusing people of racism is not just an Obama "card"--it's his whole stinking deck.

So. Am I the only one who's noticed that O'Reilly's "no spin" is moving counter-clockwise these days?

So welcome to Obama's Amerika. "We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,"

If Republicans don't turn this into a TV/Internet ad, we are in such disarray there is no hope. Obama's view of America turns out to be eerily like Carter's famous malaise speech: "it's a mess out there and it's all your fault, America."

Mr. Foreign Policy Obama thinks Iran, North Korea etc are "tiny problems" compared to the USSR (Yes, Mr. Obama, comparatively speaking, they don't have the fire power of the USSR--but which city are you willing to sacrifice to a dirty bomb, strapped onto the back of a mentally ill woman? NY? DC? Jerusalem? Disney World?). The USSR played by some civilized rules of engagement...terrorists don't.

And the argument that Bush is responsible for Iran's "strength" is a mightly arrogant argument considering Iran wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for Jimmy Carter who turned the place over the Ayatollah Khomeini by pulling the rug out from under the pro-Western Shah. So, yes, indeed. Let's give Jimmy Carter a second term and turn the US into a third world country. Workers of the World! Unite!

Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin on the vice-presidency and being pregnant

March 17, 2008

Hat Tip: Colonel B5

This post is for my Anchorage brother-in-law… And yes, the East Coast is slowly but surely discovering Alaska Governor Sarah Palin…

20080317 Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin on the vice-presidency

Speculation continues to persist as to whom Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain will choose as a running mate.

One person frequently mentioned in the mix is the popular Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, 44. Many of us feel that she would do a great job as vice-president.  read more »
