Ed Morrissey has a great opinion and anaysis piece posted at Hotair.com in regard to a new article by Matt Bai in the New York times call The McCain Doctrines.
I had read the entire 8 page report by Bai and was gathering some notes and reasearch before I clicked on Hotair and started reading Morrissey's post. It appears that great minds think alike! :) Ed focused on the same nuggets that I had been trying to use to form a proper sentence in rebuttal to Bai's assertions.
The article is long but worth reading just to be informed about what the inevitable fallout may be. I am particularly suspicious of the terms "Occupation" (Occupiers) and "Iraqization". I think the Left may have moved from attacking McCain's age and turned the page backwards to their tired mantra of opposing the War in Iraq. That would fit perfectly with the emminent selection of Barack Obama as the Democrat nominee. I believe you will be hearing those "buzz words" a lot this week.

McCain was awarded a Silver Star Medal for resisting "extreme mental and physical cruelties" inflicted upon him by his captors from late October to early December 1967, the early months of his captivity, according to the citation. The North Vietnamese, according to the Navy, ignored international agreements and tortured McCain "in an attempt to obtain military information and false confessions for propaganda purposes." read more »
