Here is video of a major portion of John McCain's remarks to the National VFW Convention meeting in Orlando, Florida, August 18, 2008. He hammered Barack Obama for his opposition to the Surge Strategy in Iraq, saying Obama not only predicted the Surge would fail but tried to "legislate failure" by opposing funding for the troops.

Here is video of Sen. John McCain hammering Barack Obama on his opposition to the Surge Strategy in Iraq in pursuit of his ambition to be President. McCain pointed out that Obama not only predicted failure of the Surge Strategy, he tired to "legislate failure" once the Surge was underway be voting against funding for the U.S. Troops in the field who were carrying out the Surge.
McCain made the remarks during an address before the National VFW Convention meeting in Orlando, Florida today, August 18, 2008.

Here is a video clip from John McCain's speech this morning to the National Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Convention meeting in Orlando, Florida. In this clip, McCain states that as President he will stand strongly behind the former Soviet Republics whose freedom is now being threatened by Russia.

Here is video in three parts of today's speech (April 7, 2008) by Sen. John McCain to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. From the introduction McCain received, it is clear how VFW feels about the need to elect a President who will not say with words alone he/she "supports the troops," but will prove it by supporting the mission they have sacrificed and died for as well. McCain delivers a great speech here, making it clear that the Democrats are offering a recipe for disaster in calling for a "reckless and irresponsible retreat from Iraq," a plan that would lead to even greater sacrifice and bloodshed in the future. Today, John McCain Will Make Remarks In Kansas City, Missouri, About The Mission In Iraq. Ahead of this week's testimony by General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker, John McCain will outline the progress being made in Iraq, the work left to be done and the consequences of withdrawal.
In The Past Year, We Have Changed Strategies And Our Armed Forces Have Dramatically Turned Around The Situation In Iraq. Ethnic violence and civilian and Coalition deaths are down. Across Iraq, the dramatic reduction in violence has opened the way for political reconciliation. Iraqis are returning to their homes and increasingly joining the fight against Al Qaeda.
· Iraq's Political Order Is Evolving. The Iraqi legislature has passed four out of the six laws cited by the U.S. as benchmarks. Much more needs to be done, and we expect Iraq’s politicians to show the necessary leadership to rebuild their country. read more »
