A founding member of the campaign of Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois met in New York City tonight with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Jodie Evans, who co-hosted Obama's first major fundraiser in Hollywood in February 2007 just after Obama announced his candidacy and is a top fundraiser and donor to Obama's campaign, led a delegation of leftist anti-American groups that held a private meeting near the United Nations. The stated purpose of the meeting was to "serve as an opening for diplomatic resolution" to prevent war between Iran and the United States.
The government of Iran is listed as a state sponsor of terrorism by the State Department and is strongly believed to be developing nuclear weapons.
Obama has stated that he would be willing to meet with Ahmadinejad and other enemies of the United States without conditions. Evans met with Obama in Beverly Hills last week at an exclusive $28,500 per person fundraiser. As a bundler for Obama, Evans is granted regular briefings with top Obama staff members and meeting with Obama and his vice presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware.
Obama has come under heavy criticism from military families and troops support organizations over his alliance with Evans.
Evans is co-founder of the pro-terrorist group Code Pink and works with state sponsors of terrorism to undermine America in the war on terror. She also has publicly announced her support for the terrorists in Iraq, her sympathy for Osama bin Laden and her "love" of Hugo Chavez.
Given Evans' closeness to regular contacts with Obama and his campaign, it is fair to ask if she is acting as an intermediary for Obama.
Obama recently put his seal of approval on Evans' attempt to storm the stage during the acceptance speech of Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska when he welcomed her to his two Hollywood fundraisers last week, the exclusive $28,500 per person event and the $2500 per person event Barbra Streisand sang at the same evening.
Others attending the meeting with Ahmadinejad included anti-American activists who support the terrorists in Iraq and work anti-American governments: Medea Benjamin, Brian Becker, Leslie Cagan, Larry Holmes and Ramsey Clark.

What: The Fellowship of Reconciliation will convene a meeting between U.S. peace activists and the President of Iran.
Who: Over 150 leaders of the U.S. peace movement (see selected list below) and Iranian leaders, including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, and U.N. Ambassador Mohammad Khazaee.
When: Wednesday, September 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Where: Mid-town Manhattan, in a location convenient to the United Nations.
Why: The Fellowship of Reconciliation sees connection between people as a constructive way to address the conflict between our governments. While we have disagreements with President Ahmadinejad, we believe there is value in engaging him in dialogue so that we all have the opportunity to better understand each other's perspectives. Public conversation between civil society and policy-makers is a goal we also seek here at home in the United States. We hope that meetings like this may serve as an opening for diplomatic resolution of our problems, so that we can avoid military solutions. We are united in our desire to prevent a possible war with Iran.

During his VP Nomination acceptance speech, Senator Biden made a major gaff in the eyes of most of us that have even a rudimentary knowledge of the Military.... he demonstrated he didn't know the difference between a battalion and a brigade. I don't really blame Senator Biden for his Military ignorance because, although a year younger and more draft eligible than Cheney, he managed to dodge the draft and avoid Vietnam so shouldn't be expected to know anything about the subject. Who I do blame is the legion of handler around him that vetted his speech and should have caught the gaff! This is so basic to anyone with even a passing knowledge of the Military that this would indicate none of Biden's advisors are veterans. I realize being in the company of brave vets is difficult for those who avoided service but if you hope to be the Vice President of the United States, you should put aside your pride and surround yourself with at least some Vets to avoid gaffs like this one.
Senator Biden abandoned Scranton when he was only 10 years old but in an attempt to court Pennsylvania voters he continually touts his northeast Pennsylvania background. I actually filled a “Draft Quota” from Scranton and have often wondered how Biden avoided Military Service despite being of ideal age during the Vietnam era? Biden graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965, just as the war began to escalate intensively and would have been exposed to the draft. Instead, he attended law school (at Syracuse University) graduating in 1968-- the very height of the war and the Vietnam draft but somehow continued to avoid service. The only explanation I found anywhere was contained in a 1987 Washington Post Profile where it said “during the Vietnam War, Biden got a draft notice but flunked the physical due to asthma.” Having been Drafted and Inducted into the Army in June 1967 in Wilkes-Barre, the Armed Forces Entrance and Examination Station for Northeast Pennsylvania including Scranton, I have a little first hand knowledge on how physicals were conducted there. I had three disqualifying features detected during my Draft Physical including a “loose knee” from a wrestling injury that should have been surgically corrected. Instead of being disqualified, the doctor stamped my Physical “Waiver” but did warn me to “be careful with the knee in Vietnam so it didn’t dislocate again!” I was inducted later that afternoon and ended up serving an extended tour in Vietnam. I guess I might have “Taken Biden’s Place” in the War but never got so much as a thank-you from him! Then again, my circumstance might have been a little different than Biden's. When I was drafted my father was an active duty Navy Captain, my brother was a Naval Academy Grad in jet pilot training, my mother and my 4 uncles were WWII combat vets so being found "unfit for service" would have been too embarrassing for words. Then again, some people have no shame so can’t be embarrassed.
I remember how Senator (and Medal of Honor recipient) Bob Kerrey put it in 1992 when he said “as I remember it, at that time if you could walk and chew gum, the military would take you.” Wonder how much Joe whined during his physical?
Former Virginia Governor, current Senate candidate and Democrat Convention Keynote speaker Mark Warner was quoted in the 26 August Washington Post as saying: “(Biden) has real-world grass-roots, blue-collar appeal. He can go into a VFW hall or Kiwanis Club meeting and ….” He might be able to go into a Kiwanis Club but he definitely has NOT earned the right to enter a VFW Hall!
On second thought, Biden might just be a Military expert given how deftly he avoided any brush with Military Service.
Below is a very disturbing message from a U.S. soldier serving in Afghanistan as he describes Obama’s visit there. Not only did Obama egregiously snub our wounded fighting for our nation, but this soldier tells it like it really was when Obama stepped off the plane in Afghanistan.
These brave men and women are putting their lives on the line every minute of the day for months, sometimes years to fight the greatest threat to our nation in modern history - Fundamental Extremist Islamic terrorists who wish to destroy our nation.
For a presumptive nominee for CIC with an already questionable twenty (20) year close association of an anti-American ”hate” church to look down on these soldiers and not offer them even a thank you is dishonorable to them, and to our beloved nation. This is unforgivable.
John McCain suffered almost six (6) torturous years as a POW during the Vietnam War as he fought for our nation. Can one possibly imagine the kick in the gut Obama gave these brave military as he paraded past them - The kick in the gut he gives to all who have served fighting and dying for our freedom and our great nation, including John S. McCain.
Again, to the “media” coverage of Obama: It is not simply the excessiveness of it, but the truly blatant falseness of it which strikes at the heart of the media’s integrity. WHY?
Forwarded Message From Jeff In Afghanistan
Hello Everyone,
..I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that came to Bagram, Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet-proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As the soldiers where lined up to shake his hand, he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big-top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could have publicity pictures taken of him playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here, you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA pla yers or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-in-Chief. It was almost like he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.
