John McCain is the veteran, the man who returned to his country and assumed his rights, roles and responsibilities. John and Sarah place country first and both realize that with the help of parents, grandparents and responsible citizens we can restore our Nation's once strong foundation.
Several weeks ago I attended my grandson’s high school football game. Excitement filled the air as parents, grandparents and friends found their seats in the bleachers. If the football team can pull another win out of the hat, they will be in the playoffs (the first time in six years.)
Suddenly I realized the hush that fell over the crown wasn’t about the game, but about a 21 year old man who stood on the field with hat in hand covering his heart. Three years ago, this young man was a track star in our high school and now a veteran with a prosthetic leg.
He is the epitome of one who assumed his rights, roles and responsibilities to keep us safe and to help the less fortunate. The bleachers were packed and heads were bowed in prayer as the announcer spoke about this young hero.
All at once hundreds of men and women on motorcycles circled the field carrying our “Red, White and Blue” flag in honor of this man and their country. Tears flowed as we sang the National Anthem – in my heart, I knew that America still stands as “One Nation Under God.” One young veteran and thousands of strangers were connected by a chain of love.
For those who met him for a few brief moments, he will always be their hero! What an act to follow! Like this young man, parents are heroes too and they will remove the pain from their children’s lives and restore our Nation that is tottering on a weak foundation.
Parenthood is a “God” given gift and no one has the right or authority to tamper with our parents – they are the pulse of America. Remember your childhood, when your imagination and dreams would sweep you off to fantasyland – you were the hero or heroine that saved the day.
A dolly would become a beautiful princess in the blink of an eye or and old broom handle was transformed into a prancing black stallion blowing smoke or whatever out of his nostrils. You were the knight in shinning armor, who saved the maiden in distress or the nurse that healed the sick and doctored the neighborhood stray.
Yep, those were the good old days, when you believed in yourselves and you experienced a distinct warm fuzzy feeling of human worth. The good news is this – there’s still a little hero or heroin hid away in your heart and soul, just waiting to be called to action.
Maybe you haven’t heard the call yet, but look around and listen to your children. They’re yelling and stomping their feet trying to get your attention. Our children are suffering from a pain that is very complex; it’s illusive, difficult to treat and many times misdiagnosed.
They are experiencing an emptiness and a gnawing discomfort which is affecting their minds and bodies. Treatment is superficial, somewhat like a band aide, unless the real problem is identified.
New child psychology, the women’s movement and non parental caregivers (not in any particular order) are three concerns that have spawned excessive psychological and physical damage to our children.
These are the stimuli that have created a portion of this complex pain, but they’re not the cause. With careful examination, you’ll find this complex pain comes from a slow erosion of human values and worth that is causing our country to stumble.
Everyone, not just parents and children have been blindsided! Our leaders suffered too as the new era slowly and relentlessly replaced “morality and spirituality with immorality, self and materialism.
Our government attempted to stay in the middle of the road in a ridiculous effort trying to retain their popularity and position in office. Confusion set in as our they tried to please everyone by being “politically correct,” which was the beginning and the end for most politicians who believed in morals, human worth and values.
It seems like everything converged on us at one time. Overnight we started making adjustments due to modern child psychology, the women’s movement and pressure from the baby boomers.
Just when we were scrambling to keep up with the rapid changes - stage left in tramped the special small interest groups (the meddlers) who always wait to make their moves until we are totally distracted.
Yes, parents were agitated, angry and confused, but the trickle down affect of this era placed parents in a compromising position. The ones behind these movements were strategists and their first order of business was to take the air out of parents and remove parental control.
What better way to bring our Nation to its knees than through our parents and their children! Even if some of our leaders believed in “One Nation Under God,” they were afraid to discuss and retrieve this fundamental right. Help John and Sarah restore our Nation for our children!
Parents, grandparents and concerned citizens are the ones who will have to take time out and restore our country morally and spiritually, but first they must take back their rights, roles and responsibilities.
Parents will be the ones who leave a legacy for our children that has real value and human worth. The past is behind us and we can’t keep dwelling on the past – we must stride forward into the future with the resolve to put discipline and prayer back into our schools and resume parental roles.
Working together one family at a time to put our Nation back on track as one “Nation Under God With Liberty and Justice for All.” Oh yes, it will take effort on our part but what a great feeling it will be to leave our children a truly awesome legacy.
As John F. Kennedy said, “And so my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” For those who believe in “God:” he’s still alive and well! How do I know this, I watched as the Republican Convention closed their ceremony with prayer.
Yow, there were a few low blows about the Church card being pulled out and used, but the good thing is regardless of the off the wall responses - prayer did get the attention of the special interest groups. You know, they are most welcome to join us as we put our tottering Nation back on a strong foundation.

What will it take to get America’s attention – when will they see the light at the end of the tunnel. Why are they jumping on the bandwagon of radicals and terrorists?
Americans have once again become complacent, the controlled – not the ones in control. Why are they allowing others to think for them, to endanger their children and families?
Why have they allowed themselves to be thrown into the backseat of the bus? What do they really care about and why have they allowed “materialism and self” to be the issues in this Presidential Race?
Americans are undergoing major surgery in 2008; recovery depends entirely on their ability to perceive the real truth along with their decision to pick the right leaders.
The United States has reached a cross road in history and the wrong turn will eventually lead to our Nation’s demise. Much like the Romans our materialistic, selfish and immoral ways will allow our country to crumble – we’ve been in the midst of political corruption for many years, many moons before President Bush took office.
Our economic crisis goes beyond government and actually started in our own backyards. Americans have chosen other “gods” in the search for happiness and during that interim our children have taken the hit. Parents and children wallow in a false sense of entitlement, which reverts back to a worship of “self.”
Our children have been exposed and trained in the “rules of self.” They have been wired since infancy to expect more and want more. Parents have been blindsided by all the special interest groups (meddlers), peddlers (news media) and the government; parents and grandparents have been thrown into a “fish bowl.”
Parenthood took its major hits during three specific eras in our history, (1) The baby boomers, (2) The women’s movement, and (3) The new child psychology invented by Dr. Spock and colleagues. During these eras, the special interest groups, Supreme Court and liberalists made their moves.
Our children’s education started to be tainted, teachers and schools became the controlled – not the ones in control.
Prayer was pitched, because we were told it was infringing on other’s rights. The Ten Commandments were removed from courthouses and along with all of this morals took one hit after the other. Shacking up, unwed parents, gay marriages etc. are just a few of the things that parents were forced to endure.
Morality and spirituality have been tossed to the wind by the extreme liberalists and radicals – we’re literally in a state of limbo. Children are the dominant ones and control the families every move. Parents are the workabees who scramble 24/7 in an attempt to keep up with our fast moving high tech society.
We do have rights, no one is going to make a child pray in school – he can twiddle his thumbs, take a walk or shut his ears, but our children have rights too, you know.
No one is going to make anyone read the Ten Commandments, but our forefathers were smart enough to realize that the commandments were important to all – they represented all things related to morality and spirituality and served as a guideline for parents and families whether they believe in god or not…
Now is the time to change the “wheels to nowhere” and as individuals help restore our weak Nation. There are several key issues to consider and American parents and grandparents must take the time to empower themselves with knowledge.

2. Do you really believe that Obama’s going to reduce taxes for 95% of our population - remember approximately 40% of the American population don’t pay taxes to start with and out of the goodness of your heart you’ll pay for the little bonus check he sends to those not paying taxes (that’s called spreading the wealth.)
3. Do you know anything about Senator Obama’s past – study his Illinois Senate record(nothing to brag about) – go online and check out his voting record in the US Senate (mainly no-shows and present) and when he did vote it surely wasn’t for the middle class sector, college students or infants!
4. Do you realize Obama handed out your hard earned money for years to radical groups or don’t you care?
It all boils down to this – would you hire the “Maytag Man” to remodel your house? Of course you wouldn’t, then why would you even consider hiring a man who pals around with crooks, plays around with your money, supports Radical Groups (Obama just gave $ 800,000 to Acorn) and one who believes in “infanticide to be your leader?
Americans are putting a price on their children and family’s heads – by voting for Obama you’re endangering your families and children.
Just the fact that many Americans are admitting that a man’s past, his character, reputation and track record are irrelevant verifies the price they’re willing to pay for the Obama philosophy. “May God Bless Each and Everyone” Stop in @ http://www.yourannie.com for more poltitical editorials.

In one of the US presidential election's more unorthodox campaign initiatives, young Jewish Democrats are being urged to fly to Florida to persuade their grandparents to vote for Barack Obama.

The so-called Great Schlep appeal has been delivered in an equally irregular form - an irreverent video made by the Jewish comedian Sarah Silverman.
Silverman, whose foul-mouthed reputation is in evidence in the video, urges "schlepees" to point out to their grandparents how similar they are to young black men such as Mr Obama.
They both like tracksuits, Cadillacs and "bling, money and jewellery", and "all their friends are dying", she says, sitting on a sofa between a Jewish grandmother and an increasingly uncomfortable-looking black man.
"You don't have to use facts - use threats," she adds. "There's nobody more important or influential over grandparents than their grandkids."
"If they vote for Barack Obama, they're going to get another visit this year. If not, let's just hope they stay healthy until next year."
Despite the light-hearted tone, the appeal - which is financed by the Jewish Council of Education & Research - is deadly serious.
Florida is seen as one of about 10 closely-contested states and has a large Jewish population, much of it made up of retirees from New York.
