bail out
The majority of the House representatives listened to the masses of constituents who phoned, emailed and faxed them this weekend about the proposed economic bail out. At least initially, this plan did not pass as it is currently written. So, democracy prevails and the free market rolls on, as the voices of average people in America all over the country were heard. Call it what you may -- bail out, rescue, investment opportunity -- the people do not want the federal government controlling the markets and helping businesses out of the jams they created for themselves.
The spin to convince the taxpayers that this $700 billion was just an investment with a return in about 5 years did not fly. But, OK, maybe I am wrong about this and just need more time to analyze the details of this plan. Maybe sticking 106 pages of a plan up on the Internet on a Sunday afternoon for a few hours before a House vote was not enough for me or for Congress. But if this rescue plan is such a good investment, then I think the fat cats at the top 2% of the economic ladder should contact their favorite banks and buy off some of those mortgage backed securities and credit card portfolios, so they can continue to lend the consumers money.
I will gladly eat beans and rice and walk to work for the rest of my life, rather than give one dime toward people playing around with other people's money. Hey, this may be the solution to obesity in America. No more fat cats.
Great investment tip, Paulson, Frank, Pelosi and Dodd. And nice try on the ACORN earmark, too. Obama would have loved you for sneaking that one in.
I am proud of America. Just look at all of the problems we solved this weekend. Like Minority Leader John Boehner, I am also thankful John McCain made sure all of our voices were heard.
Thank you for listening.

Will a Bail Out Just Prolong the Agony?
Thank goodness, John McCain cares about his country and refuses to listen to a fallen Republican and Democratic government – those who are spending all their idle time pointing a finger at this great man might consider joining him and being a part of the group who will restore our Nation.
The Republicans and the Democratics have placed the welfare of our country in jeopardy, but the government is under the control of the Democrats at this time. We need an unbiased group of economists and statisticians to go to the White House and give our Government the options available that will prevent a “Depression.”
Here we go again – our government has been caught with their pants down and there’s more than blisters on their fannies. If we were but to check one thing, it should be the voting record of the Democrats the past few years and then after doing that ask ourselves several questions.
1. Do we really want the Democrats bailing anyone else out at this time?
2. Will a bail out actually revive our weakened economy?
3. Does our government have the expertise to make the hard difficult decisions anymore? (Listen to their comments – they’re still playing politics)
4. Who is knowledgeable enough to make an honest decision about the “bail out?”
As individuals each of us need to step forward and talk with our government representatives, before they once again throw us under the bus. In all reality, it’s probably best to take our beating now!
No one really knows if the “bail out” will revive our economy or just prolong the agony. Certainly plunging into more debt without a firm guarantee from our government that we’ll be repaid immediately should be a priority. Secondly, what man or women in Washington will step forward and say without a doubt that a bail out is even feasible at this time.
The “bail out” has the ear marks of one more blunder on the part of our government – some of the world’s leading economists are throwing red flags up all over the place, because they know Washington is once again going down the wrong path.
It’s totally disgusting to hear our leaders make their better than thou comments blaming everyone, but themselves. For the first time in my 68 years, I realize these leaders are addicted politicians and will say or do anything to survive.
We hear the word bipartisan, bipartisan and bipartisan and watch as the biggest political blunder is about to occur, because our leaders don’t know how to lead.
Debate, what’s there to debate about – foreign policy isn’t exactly a great subject to bring in front of the American people tonight. Idle guarantees about repairing our broken economy is somewhat like promising a little one an ice crème cone if they find the money to buy it. We use to be the voice of America and now we’ve turned into a door mat.
The bottom line and there’s always a bottom line is this – our children and their children are being left with a mess that will last their lifetimes if we don’t work together to resolve this problem. As a Nation, we need to pitch the plastic, budget, get over the materialistic “God, and quite living for “self.”
We have young people that need us – not our gifts! If we focus on becoming responsible parents again, good role models and disciplinarians – our Nation will once more return to “One Nation Under God.”
Regardless of anyone’s beliefs – this is the formula our forefathers gave us and until we, the people lost the formula it was a tried and true way of life that worked for all.
It only takes a few people to change the “world” in a positive way –
As Always, Annie

The “Bail Out” bill isn’t a bipartisan effort – it’s a ploy to play politics once again by the Democratic camp. CNN should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for the “crap” they putting in front of the citizens of America. CNN - it’s time to take the boxing gloves off and assist our government leaders and refrain from the “trickle down” news that you so adeptly throw across the airways.
I just listen to Wolf Blitzer and was ashamed that he allowed politics to make headlines once again – this isn’t the “Wolf” that I’ve known for years. He of all people knows propaganda when he hears it and knows how to ask the right questions to get the “real truth.” Hey, Wolf get back to old fashioned journalism and give Americans the “real scoop.”
Everyone knows that John McCain isn’t sitting at the “White House” twiddling his thumbs – nope, he’s once again confronting those who are so eager to spend tax payers monies. What Americans are experiencing now is one of the worst political farces of all times! Obama doesn’t have a clue how to correct the problem and the sad thing is his political rhetoric has reached many of our young people.
Youngsters, you need to quit surfing the channels for your answers – do your homework, check out Mr. Obamas many “No shows” in congress and listen to the real words he’s saying. In other words, read between the lines.
His leadership abilities at this time is close to “nil” and as always Mr. Obama is trying to straddle the fence so he just might become our next president. His theory is big talk, little action, don’t you realize that yesterday he was trying to play one up and was indecisive about going to Washington to take care of our huge economic problem. We don’t need an eloquent programmed speaker – we need a leader!
Even Democrats are going to tire of his changes because they don’t make any senses when it comes to the welfare of our country. Obama is planning on slam dunking investors which include entrepreneurs, small businesses and that will create a catapulting effect on all of America. Obama needs to go back to school and learn what real leadership means – bottom line is no one can lead if they don’t have their ducks in order! Need I say more?
The meddlers (special interest groups), lobbyists and many members of our government need to take a long time out, like for 15 or 20 years or find a new country! It’s so stupid to hear that it was the Republicans that got us into this mess – that’s where homework is in order, because it’s a wives tale.
Here’s the “real truth” we’ve been contributing big time to our current economic problem; we’ve allowed our country to become materialistic and self driven while morals and our Nations once strong foundation just headed south. So, America needs to get off the soap box and quit blaming Republicans, Democrats or their next door neighbor – individually we must accept responsibility for our greed and lack of discipline.
When you sit down tonight and start listening to the news media - quit gobbling up their biased, edited and trickle down information - find out the “truth.” The truth hurts sometimes, but it’s the first step to recovery.
It only takes a few bad apples and here’s a news flash – Wall Street, our gov and much of the news media have a tub full of crooks and shysters. So before you vote on Nov 4th, become informed, do your homework and pick a real leader that will place our country first and refuses to blend in with the "elite crowd."
The humor to the meetings today is this – we have a “maverick” that is irritating both Republicans and Democrats because he won’t just lie down or go away. He wants to know how his fellow Americans will recover their tax increases for this bail out – and he wants to be sure bail out is the right way to go in our all ready weakened economy.
So what’s the news media do? They make fun of a man who really places his country first and a man who is tired of seeing our country damaged due to selfish interests of others. It appears that their jobs must be at stake, because basically they are a good group of people if they weren’t under the control of bad management.
As Always,
Annie

One Leads – One Follows
Senator John Mc Cain once again makes the right choice – he has suspended his campaign and has asked the President to convene a meeting with both houses.
The Maverick remains the same, no hidden agendas – his country comes first. Much like John’s days as a POW, he will not lie down and roll over for either his Republican or the Democratic Party.
Our government’s idea of buying out every Tom, Dick and Harry isn’t a feasible plan at this time – because once again they haven’t included us in their buy- out plan.
Senator Mc Cain wants legislation passed that will protect Americans from all walks of life. His goals are to give some stability back to the financial markets and at the same time protect the citizens of the United States; he wants legislation passed that has substance and will protect taxpayers, home owners and honest businesses.
Senator Mc Cain will not tolerate quick fixes, band aids or idle promises … The “maverick” will not stop until he can tell his fellow Americans exactly what the plan is and step by step how it will be implemented.
Once again, he’s going to stand toe to toe with President Bush, because the bill the Administration has suggested is flawed and needs correction. Senator Mc Cain has put his campaign on hold, because the American people need his strength and common sense at the White House – we know tonight when we jump in bed that he is doing all in his power to protect us.
Albert Einstein once said, “The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.” Senator Mc Cain discusses this in his campaign speeches that problems created by both Democrats and Republicans have continued in the government, because of complacency and the inability to think outside of the box.
Senator Obama on the other side still displays his ineptness at leadership, because he opts to stay in the box and let others think for him. When interviewed today, he commented that he’d be available if his party needs him and that the Presidential Debate must go on as scheduled.
His time in front of the media on September 4, 2008 was primarily a “he said – she said” interview. He was more concerned about which Presidential Elect made the first move to put a hold on the Presidential Campaign. This is like a little boy debating which came first the chicken or the egg …
Here is a man who has the guts to continue straddling the fence without getting his hand dirty – this shows not only a weakness in character, but signifies his reluctance to actually take a stand. What he is opting to do today is a continuance of his past few years in the Senate – he’s Mr. No Show Himself!
Again it’s evident that Senator Obama wants to continue the Presidential Debates even before he knows the outcome of this bill that the Administration is trying to pass. Just what did he think both Presidential Elects could debate that would even interest Americans at this time.
A debate at this time would be just one more “Political Farce.” He just doesn’t get it!
Senator Obama has been groomed for a presidency by groups of affluent people who want to control America; he’s pre programmed and incapable of addressing “the real truth and real solutions. Senator Obama reminds me of my PC – he needs scanned, defragged and system restored each night.
Our country needs a leader not a follower! My bet is President Clinton and Hillary are on the phone as we speak telling him to get off his duff and help Americans in this time of need.
As we speak, I see that Senator Obama is going to head to Washington to meet with Senator Mc Cain – this should be a very, very interesting meeting as we observe Senator Obama trying insure that his Wallstreet and government buddies are protected.
Americans need to see both political parties working hand in hand to solve the immediate problems – they don’t want to bail out a bunch of shysters, crooks and inept corporate leaders.
They are tired of supporting people who make bad decisions and continue to get into their pocketbook. We’re resilient – we can recover with the right honest leadership that places country first.
John’s our man; help the maverick get elected November 4, 2008.
