2008 General Election Projection - 5/3/08

2008 General Election Projection
May 3, 2008

Based on current polls and trends, I project Sen. John McCain will be elected President by a 278-260 margin as illustrated by the map below:Click "Read More" for larger map and more details

The margin could be far more if some polls hold up, especially against Barack Obama. This projection has Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania all going to the Democrat. McCain would have a real shot at carrying some of those states, particularly against Obama. Each Saturday, I will try to update this projection based on current polls and trends, and of course, the all-important "gut feeling." What do you think?

I don't care how many votes

I don't care how many votes McCain wins by, as long as he wins. An electoral landslide would be great but as long as he beats Obama, who cares? The country cannot afford, quite literally, an Obama presidency. Obama would be a disaster as president. Thanks for giving us hope in an election year when we have been told that the Dems should be a shoo in for the White House.
